To the Independent Thinker,

There's an old French saying that goes “ La sagesse c'est de ne jamais considérer comme acquises les choses que l'on vous présente comme évidentes”. Simply translated, it means that wisdom is about thinking independently and not accepting things blindly.

That perfectly describes the attitudes of our vintners. They are men and women who are re-evaluating every step from growing their grapes to making their wines. They are a new generation of vintners, firmly in the “non-traditionalist” camp, and have been exposed to wines throughout the world. They are committed to sustainable agriculture respecting their vineyards. They prefer generous fruit, lusciously scented elegant wines, not heavily extracted nor tannic, expressing the individuality of each varietal and of each terroir. They're making wines from “Old World” terroirs suited to “New World” palates.

We have a passion for making these excellent wines available and affordable to you. Available, as up until now they have not been accessible to the California market. Affordable, as we seek wines we can bring to you at a good value – especially in the $20–$40 retail price range.
